Abstract :
Empirically, the leaves of Cempedak (Artocarpus integer (Thunb.) Merr.) According to ayurvedic medicine can treat diabetes. And several studies of plant extracts of the Artocarpus genus have antidiabetic properties. This type of research is a quantitative type which is laboratory experimental, by extracting samples of Cempedak (Artorcarpus integer (Thunb.) Merr.) Leaves using ethanol. The antidiabetic test of Cempedak (Artorcarpus integer (Thunb.) Merr.) Leaf extract on the decrease in blood glucose levels was observed using a glucometer. The results of the data obtained were analyzed statistically using ANOVA (analysis of variance) at the 95% confidence level with the difference in the parameter of lowering blood glucose levels. The study was divided into five treatment groups, namely positive control (glibenclamide 5mg / KgBW), negative control (Na-CMC 1%), treatment group I with a dose of 75mg / 20gBB, treatment II with a dose of 150 mg / 20gBW, treatment III with a dose of 300mg / 20gBB. The results showed that the Cempedak skin leaf extract had an antidiabetic effect and the doses of 150 mg / 20gBB and 300mg / 20gBB were doses that had an antidiabetic effect and a dose of 300mg / 20gBB was an effective dose as an antidiabetic in hyperglycemia model mice which were comparable to glibenclamide. Keywords: Cempedak leaves, Artorcarpus integer (Thunb.) Merr. Antidiabetics, glucose.
