Abstract :
To protect the workforce, the Indonesian government finally made Law No. 24 of 2011 concerning BPJS Employment. As a government program, BPJS Employment has been working to serve the workers well but many companies that have workers sometimes do not register workers in the BPJS Employment. Problems in this study are: 1. What factors are obstacles to the Social Security Organizing Board (BPJS)? and 2. How is Labor Legal Protection by the Manpower Social Security Organizing Agency (BPJS) based on Law No. 24 of 2011 Manpower in the process of protecting Workers. This research uses a normative approach. The types of data are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the Workers' Legal Protection by BPJS Employment has worked to serve workers with 4 programs namely work accident insurance, old age insurance, pension insurance, and death insurance. There are 2 inhibiting factors in the Protection of Labor Law by BPJS Employment, namely internal and external. Internal factors are the administrative process that is too long, lack of skilled human resources, data and funds of BPJS Employment partner companies and inadequate facilities. External factors are the lack of understanding of employers, limited company funds, companies have not registered all programs and companies that still register only partial employees. Suggestions are expected BPJS Employment to optimize the work program and improve the quality of its services in providing protection to the workforce. Keyword : Protection, Labor, BPJS
