Abstract :
This study aims to test and provide empirical evidence of the Effect of Capital Structure on Profitability in Manufacturing Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017 - 2019. The type of research used in this study is an explanatory research type that uses a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique which is a non-random sample selection technique using certain considerations to obtain the data or information. There were samples that did not meet the criteria, so 9 manufacturing companies in the pharmaceutical sub-sector were taken as research samples. The results showed that partially the capital structure (DAR, DER) had no effect on profitability (ROA), capital structure (DER) has an effect on profitability (ROE). Meanwhile, simultaneously the capital structure (DAR, DER) has no effect on profitability (ROA) and has no effect on profitability (ROE).
