Abstract :
Nur Ain Rusli, NPM: 22170143 "THE ROLE OF COOPERATIVES AND
SMALL AND MEDIUM MICRO ENTERPRISES IN THE DEVELOPMENT
OF IKAT WEAVING MARKETING IN NORTH CENTRAL TIMOR
REGENCY" with the main guide Dr.AP.Aplonia Pala, S.Sos., MM. The purpose
of this research is to analyze the role of the Cooperative Service and Small and
Medium Micro Enterprises in the Development of Ikat Weaving Marketing. This
research is a qualitative study with observation data collection techniques, Indepth interviews and documentation. The informants in this study amounted to
five people consisting of one person from the Cooperative Service and the other
from a ikat weaving businessman. The data used is primary and skunder data
obtained from observations and from the archives of the TTU District Cooperative
Office. The results showed that: the role of the Cooperative Service and MSMEs
in developing the ikat weaving business has not been implemented perfectly
because it has not provided overall assistance, causing some entrepreneurs to
develop their businesses because there is still a lack of capital. The Cooperative
Service also provides a savings and loan system so that it can drain or help
entrepreneurs to be able to develop their business. But there are still many
entrepreneurs, especially in ikat weaving entrepreneurs who have not realized the
existence of this savings and loan system so that many of them are still based on
the capital obtained from the sale of ikat weaving that they sell so that the help of
providing jobs from cooperatives through savings and loans has not fully run well.
The savings and loan program is also still hampered, because of the error of
members who borrow capital for business but do not return cooperative loan
money and other members are also reluctant to pay mandatory deposits again, so
that the implementation of empowerment in savings and loan business units in
ikat weaving businesses and other businesses is also hampered. And in developing
a connective weaving business, creativity is needed to be based on forward
thinking, new ideas, and different from existing products to improve and create
new markets and attract consumers of ikat weaving.
