Abstract :
ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the model of teaching the art of reading the Qur'an which is applied to elderly students at LBIQ DKI Jakarta, both the method used, the obstacles in its application and the results of the application of the model. In this study the authors used a qualitative descriptive method, data collection was carried out by means of observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study found that the teaching model of the art of reading the Qur'an using the tartil method was very effective in improving the quality of reading the Qur'an for students at LBIQ DKI Jakarta with the following indicators: students were able to read the Qur'an fluently and correct in accordance with the rules of the science of recitation, able to read the Qur'an with a rhythm. The application of the tartil method at LBIQ DKI Jakarta has given quite good results, especially the LBIQ DKI Jakarta students are elderly, many students are already fluent in reciting the Qur'an using rhythm, and some are already teaching in madrasas in the participants' environment. learn to live.
