Abstract :
Cigarette smoke trapped in a room is certainly very disturbing and dangerous for people who don't smoke, experts also say that cigarette smoke inhaled by people who don't smoke is more dangerous than smokers themselves. This study aims to produce a prototype telemonitoring system for detecting indoor cigarette smoke based on telegram. This prototype uses an Arduino ESP 8266 as an internet-enabled control center, an MQ-2 smoke sensor to detect smoke, an LED as a marker for the presence or absence of smoke, and a buzzer to alert you that smoke has been detected. As a test medium, a miniature room measuring 20cm x15cm x15cm was used. As a result, when the tool detects smoke from the lamp and the buzzer will turn on, the telemonitoring system arduino ESP 8266 also successfully sends a notification to the telegram application. The test results on this prototype show that all aspects have been running well, the stress on each component is also normal as it should be.
