Abstract :
This research is motivated by the low problem-solving ability of elementary school students because teachers are still applying expository learning which makes it difficult for students to develop thinking skills, students are less enthusiastic in the learning process, students tend to be passive, teachers never provide problems that exist in real life. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Problem Based Learning model is described in improving the problem-solving ability of elementary school students. The method used is a literature review or systematic literature review. This study used secondary data sourced from Google scholar, DOAJ, Researchgate, Garuda. The keywords used are "[[problem-solving ability]]" AND "[[Problem Based Learning model]]" AND "[[mathematics]]" AND "[[elementary school students]]". Based on the results of the search as a whole, 11,265 articles were found, then the identification, screening and feasibility of the articles were found to be only 12 articles that were relevant and in accordance with the inclusion criteria. From the results of the analysis, it shows that through the Problem Based Learning model, it can improve students' problem solving ability, which is shown by the results of learning completion from the ability to solve mathematical problems.
