Abstract :
This research is motivated by the low speaking skills of students caused by two factors, namely internal and external factors, in general students have difficulty expressing opinions because they lack mastery of the material, when speaking they are still stuttering, the vocabulary used is still limited, the use of intonation is not appropriate. and unclear pronunciation. The purpose of this study was to find out how the description of the application of the show and tell method in improving the speaking skills of elementary school students in Indonesian language lessons. The method used is a literature study method or a systematic literature review which adapts the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses (PRISMA) method. This study uses secondary data in the form of online literature searches sourced from Google Scholar, Garuda, Dimensions and ResearchGate. The keywords used were ?show and tell method? AND ?speaking skills? AND ?Indonesian language? AND ?elementary school?. Based on the overall search results, 237 journals were found, then the identification, screening and feasibility stages were carried out, there were only 16 journals that were relevant and in accordance with the inclusion criteria that had been set, from the results of this study the value of students' speaking skills was above the average value of the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) 70 with good category. So it can be concluded that the show and tell method can improve students' speaking skills in Indonesian language lessons in elementary schools.
