Abstract :
This study aims to determine how the application of the time token
learning model to the speaking skills of elementary school students. Based on the
journal study material, several problems were obtained where students' speaking
skills were still relatively low. This can be seen from how when students are
asked to express their opinions or tell stories in front of the class, they feel afraid
and not confident. An effective learning model to overcome this problem is the
time token learning model because it has the advantage of being able to make
students who were originally passive speaking become active speaking.
The type of research method used in this research is Systematic Literature
Review (SLR), which is done by collecting data and information on scientific
journals or articles, which are related to research variables. The data sources used
in this study are journals or scientific articles published in the last 10 years, which
relate to the application of the time token learning model to the speaking skills of
elementary school students.
Based on the analysis of twenty journals or scientific articles, it proves that
the time token learning model can improve students' speaking skills, so that
students do not feel ashamed or afraid anymore when speaking or expressing their
opinions in front of the class, making them more active so that the learning
process runs conducive. Because in the learning process, students become the
main focus, in other words, students are always actively involved. Then with the
indicators of speaking skills, it can be seen to what extent the speaking skills
possessed or have been achieved by students, and the application of the time token
learning model is more effective when used in the upper class.
