Abstract :
The research was motivated by observations from several journals found the problem of low critical thinking skills of students in the implementation of PKN learning, this can be seen from the learning process where students only listen to the teacher explaining so that students are passive and not active in learning, therefore a learning model is needed which is able to train students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to see an overview of the application of problem solving learning models in improving critical thinking skills in upper grade elementary school students in PKN subjects. Researchers used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, by reviewing 12 Classroom Action Research (CAR) and Experimental journals, according to predetermined inclusion criteria, the search for journals reviewed in this study was sourced from journals related to the research theme using Google databases. Scholar uses the keywords "Critical Thinking Ability", "Problem Solving", "PKN Learning" for High School Elementary Schools". From the results of the literature conducted by researchers, it can be seen that the PKN learning process uses a problem solving learning model in class IV (four) teachers use study groups in its application, in class V (five) teachers prefer posttest and test, while for class VI (six) teachers use study groups in their implementation and problem solving learning models are effective in improving critical thinking skills in upper grade elementary school students.
