Principal's Transformational Leadership in Improving Teacher Performance at Al-Adzkar Boarding School, South Tangerang

This research is motivated by the low performance of teachers in an educational institution. This is caused by the leadership of the principal who is less involved. Therefore, this study aims to explain the role of transformational leadership of school principals in improving the performance of high school teachers at Al-Adzkar Boarding School, South Tangerang.
This study aims to determine the teacher's performance, the principal's transformational leadership, the role of the principal's transformational leadership in improving the teacher's performance at the boarding school al-Adzkar South Tangerang.
The qualitative method uses a phenomenological approach, while the theoretical basis uses role theory. In this research, the data collection technique was carried out by literature study, in-depth interview, documentation study and observation.
This study found that SMA Boarding School al-Adzkar South Tangerang has carried out operational activities since its inception until now. Human Resources (HR) consists of the Principal, Teachers, Education Personnel and students. In addition, there were also classrooms, student dormitories, religious facilities, libraries, learning media and curriculum.
The results of this study indicate that low teacher performance can be improved if the principal through the transformational leadership role plays an active role. So the principal's transformational leadership has an effect on improving the performance of high school teachers at Al-Adzkar Boarding School, South Tangerang.
