Abstract :
The increasing number of vehicles crossing the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road every year causes congestion in all toll roads and toll gates, especially congestion that occurs at the West Bekasi Toll Gate (GT) 1. Construction of the Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Toll Road (hereinafter referred to as MBZ Elevated Toll Road). ) or often known as the Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Toll Road is a solution to overcome the congestion that occurs at the toll gates and the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, especially the congestion that occurs at the exit access of GT Bekasi Barat 1.
Based on the above background, the researcher intends to evaluate the percentage decrease in the volume of vehicles before and after the construction of the MBZ Elevated Toll Road, especially vehicles going to GT Bekasi Barat 1 and its impact using the Bina Marga method (MKJI, 1997).
The results of the evaluation show that after the construction of the MBZ Elevated Toll Road on GT Bekasi Barat 1, there was a decrease in the number of vehicle volumes and an increase in the quality of the level of service (level of service). The existence of the MBZ Elevated Toll Road is effective in breaking down congestion on the Jakarta - Cikampek Toll Road, as evidenced by the decrease in the amount of traffic volume which previously was 7229.63 pcu/hour down to 4596.83 pcu/hour with a difference of 2632.79 pcu/hour or in percentage of 36 ,4% . The service level performance of the West Bekasi GT before the construction of the MBZ Elevated Toll Road, the degree of saturation value was 0.53 and the service level value (LOS) was C. After the construction of the MBZ Elevated Toll Road, the saturation degree value was 0.34 and the service level value (LOS) was B.
