ABSTRACT
Tourism is one of the most important things foPr the country. Through tourism, a country or more specifically the local government where the tourist attraction is located gets income from the income of each tourist attraction. The development of the tourism sector in a country will attract other sectors to develop as well because its products are needed to support the tourism industry, such as agriculture, livestock, plantations, folk crafts, increasing job opportunities, and so on. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Lack of management and marketing programs by local governments. It was realized by the Village Government through the Village Head, Mr. Umari (45 years old) that he realized that the Curug Sidoharjo Waterfall Tourism Object was one of the tourist attractions that had enormous potential in growing regional income. The solutions referred to in this case are strategies related to the development of the Sidoharjo Waterfall tourist attraction in order to be more competitive in attracting tourists. As for these obstacles, among others, management has not been maximized, the lack of facilities and infrastructure, limited human resources and limited funding. The management condition at the Sidoharjo Waterfall Tourism Object has been going well but must be improved because the management is seen to be still not running optimally, the manager must also be open and not anti-critic for good inputs for the development of the Sidoharjo Waterfall Tourism Object. As for the obstacles in the management, among others, management has not been maximized, the lack of facilities and infrastructure, limited human resources and limited funding. From the results of interviews and observations that the development strategy applied by the manager to increase tourist visits is the formation of an organizational structure with more professional human resources (HR) by involving the government, the community and third parties in it and managing the Sidoharjo Waterfall Tourism Object with the concept of ecotourism. Then add facilities and infrastructure to support tourism in the Sidoharjo Waterfall Tourism Object area.
