Abstract :
ABSTRACT In learning, there are a lot of media used by students that have been provided as campus facilities or can be searched for as personal references, such as books, web, papers, works and other learning literature. At Bumigora University students also use books and look for websites that can be used as references in studying. This study aims to design a visual font book for typography courses at the University of Bumigora Mataram in accordance with the Semester Lesson Plan, in order to make it easier for students to find references to previous works and learn the basics of art and design. The method used in designing this typography is the Design Thinking method. Design Thinking is a method for building a product concept and has 5 stages, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test. Then at the Typography feasibility test stage, the author chooses a typography expert, and tests users, by showing the typeface and interviewing. Based on the responses of experts and users, this typography can be used as a reference and an illustration for students who will take typography courses.
