Abstract :
In the learning curriculum, the basic thing taught is about Indonesian. Indonesian is a subject that is followed by every student who studies in Indonesia, they must take this subject from elementary school to university level. Indonesian is not a favorite subject for students and sometimes even seems to be ignored, this is due to the lack of effectiveness of the teaching and learning process with simple methods which makes Indonesian subjects boring and sometimes underestimated. In Indonesian subjects, we are also introduced to standard words, standard words are languages ​​that are in accordance with the rules and correct spelling in the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI). However, with the lack of interest in learning Indonesian, the standard language began to be worried when the official language was rarely used in everyday life. In fact, the standard language is very important in the position of the nation. Based on application development and implementation of the Google Speech API that has been carried out on the standard word recognition application, several conclusions can be drawn including, making an Android-based standard word recognition application that can meet user needs in accordance with what is described in system requirements, the standard word recognition application can process voice input by implementing the Google Speech API
