Abstract THE EFFECT OF SNAPPER NUGGETS ON HEIGHT CHANGES IN STUNTING TODDLERS AGED 24-59 MONTHS IN THE ALAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER Tira Septiana Background : Toddlers who experience stunting will have a level of intelligence that is not optimal, as well as making children more vulnerable to disease and in the future can be at risk of decreasing productivity levels. One way to reduce stunting is to increase the protein intake of toddlers. Processed snapper nuggets are made to be consumed and accepted by stunting toddlers. Methods : Snapper nuggets are made according to nutritional and hygienic standards. Then the hedonic test was carried out on 10 trained panelists. This study consisted of 16 case groups and 16 control groups of stunting toddlers who met the established criteria and measured their height as the initial height and carried out initial protein recall. The case group was given snapper nugget, while the control group was not. The study was conducted for 1 month and the height was measured again as the final height and final protein recall. Analysis of the effect of snapper nuggets was carried out by using the General Linear Model (GLM). Result : The results of statistical tests obtained data that are normally distributed and homogeneous (α > 0.05). The results of the paired sample t test obtained a significance value < 0.05, this means that there is a significant difference between the case group and the control group. The GLM test results obtained an adjusted r square=0,361 and p value=0,146, which means that there is no significant effect, only 36% of the effect of snapper nuggets on changes in stunting toddler height. Conclusion : There is no effect of snapper nuggets on height changes in stunting toddlers. Keywords : Snapper Nuggets, Stunting Toddlers, Height.
