Abstract :
Secondary insomnia is a sleep disorder that occurs due to other conditions in the human body that can
cause humans to have difficulty sleeping. This system was built using the Dempster-Shafer method which is
considered capable of solving problems by providing disease probability results with a high confidence value
based on the calculation of the expert's confidence value on the symptoms experienced. The purpose of making
this expert system is to help both users of secondary insomnia sufferers and doctors in providing diagnostic results
in the form of conclusions and trust values from disease diagnoses. Collecting data related to secondary insomnia
obtained through interviews with experts and asking for their willingness to give weighting Belief scores for each
symptom. This system is based on a website using the PHP and MySQL programming languages. In the testing
section, 3 tests were carried out and have given results, namely black box testing with testing by 5 respondents
from the Computer Science study program at Bumigora University stating that the system built can work according
to its function with 100% conformity, theoretical testing which states that manual calculations is in accordance
with system calculations, and accuracy testing with 20 diagnostic cases stated that the system built had an
accuracy of 95%. With an accuracy of 95%, it is hoped that it can help in diagnosing secondary insomnia
