Abstract :
ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the type, function, and meaning of the word repeat (reduplication) contained in the Sasak language, the kuto-kute dialect The total number of reduplications that i got from this research was eighty reduplications, of which there were fifty-five complete reduplications, three partial reduplications, ten reduplications with affixation, and two reduplications with phoneme changes. the study used is descriptive. The data source referred to in the study is the subject from which the data can be obtained. The data source in this study is Sasak language of Malaka village. The data of this study were obtained from the original narrative of the Malacca Village, the research selected is informants. This study uses three methods. The three methods, namely introspection, listening, and speaking methods. The technique used in data analysis is descriptive analysis. The steps in data analysis are as follows:Slecting data of reduplication, Determining the types, function and meaning and analyzing data.
