Abstract :
Bau Nyale is one of the activities that has been going on for generations and is based on the folklore of the Princess Mandalika, where in her story, the princess sacrifices herself so that there is no war because various kerajaann neighbors fight for her to become queen in a neighboring job. In determining the peak of Bau Nyale activity, the community calculates the calendar using the Rowot star and it is still being implemented and carried out by the Rowot Nusantara Lombok Institute. In tracing the interview data, Mr. Then Ary Irawan conveyed that there was a story of fitology related to the relationship between Princess Mandalika, Bintang Rowot, and Bau Nyale where the princess turned into a star right at the appearance of the Rowot Star in the sky, then in the tenth month before Rowot's star entered. The ngarem period ¬ is a sign that the month will soon be holding Bau Nyale activities. The purpose of this design is to make a Pop-Up book that tells the story of Princess Mandalika, which is in fact related to the Rowot calendar on the island of Lombok. This design uses the SWOT analysis method to get the right problem-solving solution in designing the work. There are two media in the design, namely the primary media for the Putri Mandalika Pop-Up book and the secondary media, namely x-banners and merchandise. With the design of this Pop-Up book, it is hoped that it can become a new media choice as a reading of folklore in Lombok as well as a learning material to provide and instill noble character and love for local culture to the younger generation in Lombok.
