Abstract :
West Nusa Tenggara is one of the provinces in the Republic of Indonesia which has two large islands, namely Lombok Island and Sumbawa Island, with the center of government located in Mataram City, Lombok. The island of Lombok has a variety of traditions, arts and culture in each region, one of which is East Lombok. East Lombok has a variety of cultural arts that are still preserved until now, one of which is the shopping tradition. However, there is another problem behind the diversity of traditions and cultures on the island of Lombok, namely the lack of knowledge of the younger generation about the shopping tradition in Masbagaik, East Lombok. The purpose of this design is to create an illustrated book that discusses the shopping tradition on the island of Lombok. This design uses the design thinking method in order to get the right problem-solving solution in designing the work. There are two media, namely the primary media, the illustration book, the shopping tradition, and the secondary media, namely the x-banner and merchandise. By designing this illustration book, it is hoped that it can attract the interest of the younger generation to want to learn and preserve the traditions and culture of the region
