Abstract :
As one of the mini market companies in Mataram City, it is an obligation for the Jembatan Baru Company to provide maximum service to the community. One of the service strategies carried out by Jembatan Baru is to provide product promotion information to customers. Product promotion activities at Jembatan Baru are classified as manual methods by distributing brochures. However, the promotion using brochures carried out by Jembatan Baru has several drawbacks, including the unaffordable cost and not all customers are interested in promotions using brochures. Therefore, as an alternative solution so that the promotion of the Jembatan Baru product can run as expected, through the preparation of this thesis the researcher develops an Android-based mobile application using the Push notification feature and Google Cloud Messaging. The research method used in writing this thesis is the method of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model or what is commonly called the waterfall method, which is a method of software development carried out in stages. These stages are planning and system analysis, system design, system implementation, system testing and system maintenance. The hope of this application is the realization of a product promotion system that goes well with adequate application features. This application feature will focus on push notifications to spread promo information messages. In the end, this research produces an promotion application based on android that is built using Android Studio.
