Abstract :
The large number of people who want to become transmigrants with a limited quota makes it difficult to determine candidates for transmigrants who have the right to transmigrate due to the similarity in values between prospective transmigration participants, not only that the process of determining the eligibility of prospective transmigrants is still done manually with a fairly large process that requires quite a long time. Therefore, this study aims to develop a decision support system for determining the eligibility of prospective transmigrants using the Fuzzy Weighted Product method. This research was developed using one of the Waterfall methods. This waterfall method consists of 5 (five) development stages, namely requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. Where only four (4) stages are used in the preparation of this essay. The result to be achieved is the production of a system that can be used to determine the eligibility of prospective transmigrants using a decision support system method, namely the fuzzy weighted product which can calculate the value of each candidate automatically by referring to criteria such as age, education, number of families and income so as to simplify and speed up the process of determining the eligibility of prospective transmigrants. The conclusion of this study is that by implementing the fuzzy weighted product method, it can rank each prospective transmigrants and provide recommendations on who are eligible candidates to transmigrate.
