Abstract :
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia associated with abnormalities of carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism caused by decreased insulin secretion or decreased insulin sensitivity or both and causes chronic complications of microvascular, macrovascular, and neuropathy (Yuliana in NANDA, 2015) 7]. Prevention of diabetes mellitus such as drugs (Metformin 500 mg, Glimifirid 1,2,4 mg, Glibendclamide 5 mg and insulin) and in principle exercise for diabetics is no different from healthy people. Exercise is mainly to burn body calories, so that blood glucose can be used for energy so that sugar levels can drop. Information media for diabetes mellitus prevention based on Android, the author uses the Luther Sutopo Method. The stages are Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing, Distribution. The need for Android-based information media is very easy to get information about the prevention of diabetes mellitus. Given that the majority of the people in Pengadang Village use android mobile technology so that the process of finding information is getting easier and faster, one of which is in preventing Diabetes Mellitus. This thesis aims to provide insight and knowledge about the prevention or prevention of diabetes mellitus by exercising. So that it can combine information and technology components that will be packaged in the form of an android application.
