Abstract :
Security is an important aspect in a system or environment.
Residential neighborhoods, offices, tourist attractions and shopping
centers are places that are prone to fires because they contain
flammable objects. Installation and slow handling when a leak such as
gas can trigger a fire. One of the mechanisms that can be used to
reduce the occurrence of these fires is to provide a tool that functions
to monitor or monitor the condition of a gas leak or other flammable
liquid.
Design and manufacture of a system to detect leakage of LPG and
Alcohol gas can speed up handling when there is a leak of generally
flammable gases. This system combines a microcontroller with
electronic nose system technology to provide information when a
flammable gas or liquid leaks. Information regarding the leak is sent
as a notification to a telegram from the user.
The design and manufacture of this system uses the Waterfall
methodology, where this methodology starts at the stage of analyzing
(covering systems and requirements), designing the system design
(including electronic circuit design and monitoring web interface),
implementing system design, and testing the system as a whole. which
has been completed.
The results achieved after this research were to produce an
electronic nose system that could provide notification via telegram
regarding gas leaks that occurred and information on gas leaks can
be accessed via the website. The conclusion from the research that has
been done is that this system can help provide information to the public
when there is a leak of flammable gas or liquid
