Abstract :
In modern times like today, not a few schools still have limitations in the teaching and learning process, such as the lack of media for delivering subject matter. Currently the delivery of material on the Sasak script contained in local content subjects for 5th grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kopang has not been fully maximized, this is due to the lack of textbooks which are the main media in delivering this material and the unavailability of accompanying media that can be used by teachers cause the students do not fully understand how the Sasak letters are Therefore, in this study, an application was designed in the form of a visual aid in recognizing Sasak characters that can be run on an Android system. By making a 2-dimensional shape of each letter of the script so that it looks more attractive, as well as additional sound which will then be made questions for students with the aim of training students' memory about the Sasak script. The method used in designing this application is Luther Sutopo's version of the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Based on the results of the questionnaire from the validation test conducted by 30 respondents using the calculation formula in the Interpretation of the Feasibility of Learning Multimedia, that the application is feasible to be used as a medium to accompany the learning process in recognizing Sasak characters.
