Abstract :
Virtualization is a technology used to run a
system within the system. Where virtualization technology is a use
software that enables hardware devices to operate
several operating systems and other services at the same time. Thing
This can facilitate research that requires a lot of resources
power. One of the software that can be used for virtualization is vmware
vSphere hypervisior exsi released by the vmware company. Therefore
Researchers are interested in discussing this vSphere hypervisior exsi vmware
about performance and how this software can work to make a
centralized system.
The research methodology used in this research is Network
Development Life Cycle (NDLC). There are 3 stages used, namely
analysis, design, simulation prototyping. In the analysis stage contains about
data collection and data analysis collected, the design stage contains
about the test network design carried out using
virtualization, IP addressing design, test system design and requirements
hardware and software, the prototyping simulation stage contains the installation
configuration on each device, testing and analysis of test results.
There are 3 trial scenarios carried out, namely performance performance analysis, analysis
network performance and analysis features available.
The conclusion from this research is that vSphere is capable
run 4 virtual machines simultaneously and can run more
from that because the average percentage of CPU usage is 74.07% and memory usage
2.60 GB of total 4 GB of memory. For test methods on the network
traffic using monitoring contained in vsphere, not really analysis
seen because it can only monitor the detailed parameter
total network usage, total transmit rate, and total received rate only. Related
implementation and use of vsphere's features such as vCenter
Appliance cannot be done because you remember the specifications of the feature usage
this is at least 10 gb ram then for the Deploy Virtual Machine feature it will be very
makes it easier to create large-scale vm and networking features
vSphere will greatly speed up network configuration.
