Abstract :
Fire is a disaster whose arrival cannot be predicted, besides being unwanted by humans, it is also uncontrollable when the fire is big. In addition, fires can endanger human lives, buildings and the ecology. Various kinds of factors cause fire, be it natural factors, non-natural factors, or human factors, so that it can cause casualties, environmental damage, property loss and psychological impacts.This can happen for several reasons, such as leakage of LPG gas cylinders, short circuit of power lines, negligence in the use of stoves, the presence of heat sources and so on, so that there is a need to design a fire indication warning system in households based on the Internet of Things (IoT), where the system has a notification alarm that functions as a warns when a fire is detected. Resultachieved after the research was carried out namely The temperature sensor detects an increase in temperature with an average value of an increase of 13.4oC from a normal temperature of 28oC using test materials such as candles, burning paper, and lamps, then the smoke sensor detects the presence of smoke with a smoke thickness level from 1104 - 4095adc with the distance between the material and sensor 15cm using wax and paper test materials, then the fire sensor successfully detects a fire, when the candle is lit and the paper is burned at a distance 15cm. Overall, the sensor and microcontroller circuit works well in accordance with the program that has been made, when a fire is detected, the buzzer will sound and the system will send a fire notification to the telegram application.
