Abstract :
The use of the internet is very fast as well as at SMA Negeri 1 Gerung. Several network facilities are available at SMA Negeri 1 Gerung such as Mikrotik routers, switches and access points. However, the use of the internet there still uses a Local Area Network (LAN) which connects all network devices to the router using a LAN. The use of LAN cables that connect all networks is so complicated because there are so many clients who need internet access, this causes the use of many LAN cables so that it is difficult to maintain or find problems that occur on the network. Not only that, there are frequent disconnections and logging in, entering the user and password repeatedly. Wireless Distribution System (WDS) is a method or technique of connecting (Interconnection) between one Access Point with another Access Point by using wireless in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) with WDS this work area (coverage) of the WLAN can be expanded without connecting Access Point with a wired backbone system. The implementation of WDS as an alternative for network stability has been carried out, this WDS implementation can extend the range of signal areas transmitted by other APs without using cables. The signal emitted by the main AP will be distributed to other APs using the WDS feature. With this feature, internet users no longer need to log in repeatedly and are afraid of an internet crash
