Abstract :
In general, the assistance provided by the government to the public is sometimes not right on target, because some people who are economically able to get help, while there are still many people who unable to receive assistance from the government. The solution offered by this research is how classifying social assistance recipients who are eligible to receive assistance and those who are less worthy of receiving assistance. A solution provided using a research step-by-step research collection obtained from the Lurah Ampenan offices, in the preprossesing of the original data received, followed by the implementation of k-means methods and results analysis to determine the outcome. Analysis used is data on social assistance recipients that have not been grouped and based on the results in the grouping of recipients social assistance using the k-means method, of the 257 data there are 196 data that include cluster 1 by status social assistance recipients are right on target and 61 data are included in cluster 2 with the status of recipients of social assistance not on target. From the results of data analysis, a conclusion can be drawn, namely the people who receive assistance has been right on target because the majority of aid recipients are accepted by people who really need assistance from the government, where beneficiaries work as laborers, have no assets and have income in under IDR 500,000.
