Abstract :
Academic cheating is an action taken by students to gain benefits and comfort, using prohibited methods and / or violating procedures applicable in an academic environment. Meanwhile, as a factor that affects there is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is the confidence of students in their ability to complete a task. If the student's self-efficacy level is high, then the student's level of academic cheating is low. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect between self-efficacy and academic cheating on high school students X. The research method used is quantitative research methods with a causal relationship. Researchers used purposive sampling to get a sample of 265 students. The scale of self-efficacy and academic cheating uses a Likert scale with a value range of 1 to 4.The results of data analysis that have been carried out show that there is an effect of self-efficacy on academic cheating in X high school students with a significant coefficient value of 0.000> 0 , 05. The results of the self-efficacy descriptive test (Self Efficacy) were categorized as high with a percentage value of 61.8% (high) and 38.2% (low), which means the better the students make a decision. Meanwhile, the academic cheating behavior falls into the low category, with a percentage of 0% (high) and 100% (low) which means that students rarely cheat.
