Abstract :
This study aims to describe the utilization of YouTube by teacher as an online learning media. The research design used in this research is descriptive qualitative research which is located at Madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat Ampana Kota. The subject of the research is an English teacher. The research instrument used are observation list and interview. The data are analyzed by using Duffy?s theory (2012) regarding the guidelines for the use of video in learning, then the data are transcribed, described, and concluded to obtain the research results.
Based on the research result, it can be seen that the teacher is followed the guideline in using Youtube videos according to Duffy?s theory (2012). The teacher also use YouTube as an online learning medium in the learning process. In using YouTube as an online learning medium, teacher can deliver learning materials more easily by utilizing the learning videos from YouTube.
