Abstract :
The objective of this study to find out the Influence of Running Dictation method towards writing descriptive text by the tenth grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairat Ampana city. This type of research is descriptive qualitative.The research subject is tenth grade at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairat Ampana 2019/2020 Academic Year consists of 25 students. The instruments used in this study are observation, documentation and interviews. Based on the research results, the running dictation method can influence students' ability in writing descriptive text. This is the value of the 5 components of writing assessment, namely ideas, organization, vocabulary, grammar and mechanics. Used to support student writing assessments and the result of this method can influence writing students in descriptive text.
