Abstract :
The tittle of this study was community participation in the implementation of the KB (Family Planning) Village program in Ulak Kerbau Baru Village, Tanjung Raja Sub-District, Ogan Ilir District, the phenomenon of this study related to the community participation and constraints that affect community participation. The purpose of this study was to find out how community participation in the implementation of the KB Village program in the Ulak Kerbau Baru Village, Tanjung Raja Sub-District, Ogan Ilir District. This study was a descriptive qualitative research that develops descriptive data from the phenomena studied with a community group analysis unit found in the Ulak Kerbau Baru Village that was associated with the Family Planning Village Program. The determination of informants used purposive models, to obtain detailed information in accordance with research problems. The strategy of this study used phenomenology with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The collected data was analyzed and arranged systematically. The results showed that community participation in the implementation of the Family Planning Village Program in Ulak Kerbau Baru Village, Tanjung Raja Sub-District, Ogan Ilir District was carried out voluntarily. Volunteering was carried out in various types of ways such as participating spontaneously, induced, depressed by habits and overruled by socio-economic reasons. The obstacle of community participation in the Family Planning Village program in the Ulak Kerbau Baru Village was poverty, there still a sense of community trust in certain cultures and communities that think of a complicated bureaucratic system.
