Abstract :
Concrete is a construction material that is most often used. Though able to withstand
high compressive strength, the concrete itself has shortcomings because a very large
weight. Therefore, this research is expected to find the right composition to produce
concrete that has a high compressive strength, but also has a light weight. Each
specimen, the addition of 10%, 20% t o 30% perlite and 25%, 50% and 75% bottom
ash.
By SNI 03-0349-1989, the results showed that no specimens have
compressive strength above the specified quality requirements. However, the
addition of perlite has positive impact i n the compressive strength of concrete.
otherwise the addition of bottom ash has negative impact in the compressive strength
of concrete. For density, the impact of any additional has not very influential except
in the addition of up t o 75% bottom ash.
