Abstract :
Concrete ?s able to be a nonstructure wali. Perlite and fly ash addition in concrete
produce more than 70 kg/cm2 gross pressure t es t. That is a concrete with composition 25%
Portland cernent, 45% sand, 20% perlit and 10% fly ash has 79,36 kg/cm2 average gross
pressure tes t. Another concrete with 20% Portland cernent, 45% sand, 20% perlite, 15% fly
ash make 81,32 kg/cm2 on average gross pressure tes t. Bot h of these samples accede with
concrete wali requirement in Grade II (min. 70 kg/cm2) SNI 03-0349-1989.
Giving up to 15% fly ash of the total weight will improve the concrete pressure
strength but the value will go down when 20% fly ash is added. 20 % perlite addition will
increase the strength however 30% perlite make it down. Perlit not only had an effect on
strength, but also alleviate sample speciflc weight. The samples is 5cm x 5cm x 5cm cubeshaped.
