Abstract :
This study aims to determine the role of occupational stress toward organizational commitment on employees who worked in minimarket at Palembang City. The hypothesis of this that there are role for occupational stress towards affective commitment dimension, continuance, and normative on employees who worked in minimarket at Palembang City. The sample of this research was 100 employees.This study used accidental sampling technique. Occupational stress and organizational commitment was measured by the scale which refers to the symptoms of occupational stress from Robbins and Judge (2015) and the the dimensions of organizational commitment by Allen and Meyer (1991). The research used simple regression analysis. The result by regression to determine the role of occupational stress toward organizational commitment on affective commitment dimension, continuance and normative by value r= 0.562, (p<0,05), r= 0.395, (p<0,05), r= 0.0552, (p<0,05). This result proved that occupational stress has a significant role towards affective commitment dimension, continuance and normative. Thus, first hypothesis, second hypothesis and third hypothesis is accepted.
