Abstract :
This study was aimed to identify soil physical properties in several different crop lands in the tidal land of Bangun Sari Village P17-8S in 6 units of paddy fields, rubber plantations, and oil palm plantations. This research was conducted from March 2017 to August 2017. Analysis of sample was conducted at the Physics, and Soil and Water Conservation laboratory, Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Determination of the location of soil sampling for analysis by purposive sampling, taken 2 points with a depth of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm for each crop lands. The results showed that soil physical properties in some crop lands (paddy fields, rubber plantations, and oil palm plantations) in Bangun Sari Village P17-8S, having various physical properties, soil texture dominated by dust and clay fractions with clay loam texture class, having soil bulk density of 0, 70 g/cm3 to 1,08 g/cm3, total pore space 51,70 % to 80,92 %, slow permeability to moderate, soil hardness value 2,7 kg/cm2 to 3,8 kg/cm2 with the lowest value on rubber plantations and highest in oil palm plantations. The physical properties of soil in several different crop lands are generally determined by soil texture.
