Abstract :
The use of larvae Hermetia illucens L. by the community has recently increased specifically as animal feed and organic liquid fertilizer but still has various obstacles. The constraints faced in maintaining their low performance in life include the low quality and quantity of harvested larvae that will be used as commercial material. It is, therefore, formulated by formulating nutritional use by giving some organic waste as fodder for the larvae and seeing the distinct density of the larvae as their feed on organic waste nutrition. The purpose of research is identify, analyze, and compare the effects of larvae 'density on certain organic waste on life performance including the growth of the larvae, the length of life of the larva and survival rate of percentage to adult H. illucens. The study was carried out in november-december 2022 in the biosystems laboratory, biology department, science and science department, sriwijaya university. Methods used ecologically by using random design for 3x4 vectorial groups 10 times each. The parameters observed for the rate of food consumption, Approximate Digestibility, the growth of the larva and survival rate of the H. illucens larva. Feed media consisting of Treatment 1 (P1A1) = 120 grams of tofu pulp with density 100 larvae/cm3, (P1A2) = 120 grams of tofu pulp with density 300 larvae/cm3, (P1A3) = 120 grams of tofu pulp with density 500 larvae/cm3, treatment 2 (P2A1) = 120 gram expired bread with density 100 larvae/cm3, (P2A2) = 120 gram expired bread with density 300 larvae/cm3, (P2A3) = 120 gram expired bread with density 500 larvae/cm3, Treatment 3 (P3A1) = Vegetables mustard greens 120 grams with density 100 larvae/cm3, (P3A2) = mustard greens 120 grams with density 300 larvae/cm3, (P3A3) = mustard greens 120 grams with density 500 larvae/cm3, Treatment 4 (P4A1) = Mixture (40 grams of tofu dregs, 40 grams of expired bread, and 40 grams of mustard greens) with density 100 larvae/cm3, (P4A2) = Mixture (40 grams of tofu dregs, 40 grams of expired bread, and 40 grams of mustard greens) with density 300 larvae/cm3, (P4A3) = Mixture (40 grams of tofu dregs, 40 grams of expired bread, and 40 grams of mustard greens) with density 500 larvae/cm3. The results of the study by using a anova test indicate a real difference for any treatment (p ? 0.05), which led to a further Duncan test and proved to be the effects of the larval density by giving some of the different organic waste on the performance of the larva on H. illucens life performance, the growth rate of the larva and survival rate of the larva on H. illucens. The average rate of fodder for H.illucens is at highest on P1A2 (the 120 grams of larva with its density of 300 larvae /cm3) for 10.7 grams/day and the lowest was in the P3A3 treatment (120 grams of mustard greens with density 500 larvae/cm3). of 7.65 gram/day. The highest average digestibility of H. illucens larvae was in the P1A2 treatment (120 gram tofu dregs with a density of 300 larvae/cm3) of 30.3% and the lowest in P3A1 (120 gram mustard greens with a larval density of 500 larvae/cm3) by 2.66%. The highest average growth in weight, length and width of H. illucens larvae was in the P4A1 treatment (40g tofu dregs, 40g expired bread, and 40g mustard greens with a density of 100 larvae/cm3) of 0.29 mg weight, 2.15 mm length, and 0.55 mm wide. While the lowest was in the P3A3 treatment (120 grams of mustard greens with a density of 500 larvae/cm3) of 0.14 mg in weight, 1.57 mm in length, and 0.43 mm in width. The highest average survival rate of H. illucens larvae was in the P4A1 treatment (40g tofu dregs, 40g expired bread, and 40g mustard greens with a density of 100 larvae/cm3) of 96.80% and the lowest was in the P3A3 treatment (120 grams of mustard greens with a density of 500 larvae/cm3) of 27.54%.
