Abstract :
Kemplang roasting ia a risk profession that exposure to carbon monoxide which from smoke of kemplang roasting process has much contain dangerous pollutants from continuous exposure of smoke which can cause the blood is easier to bind carbon monoxide gas and the function of blood as carrier off O2 influence of make distrupted so what make hemoglobin levels. The purpose of this study was to analyzed the effeces of carbon monoxide exposure on hemoglobin levels in kemplang roasting in Tebing Gerinting village, South Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir. This study used quantitave method with analytical approach and with a cross-sectional study design. The sample of this study was 38 respondents that?s determined by the purposive sampling technique the air samples ware taken from 10 points near the roasting processing. Data collecting got by questionnaire interviews and the air measurements using grab sampling method, the odalog 7000, Hb digital stript-test, calculator. The result of the test analyzed by univariately and bivariately method from the results of the correlation on bivariate analyzed by using the correlation test. The result showed there was a relationship between body massa index (P-value=0.018) and hemoglobin levels in kemplang roasting in Tebing Gerinting village. There wasn?t relation carbon monoxide (P-value=0.47) with sleep palterus (P-value=0.052) working period (P-value=0.94) lengh of exposure (P-value=0.27) and the using of personal protective equipment (P-value=0.085). from the results of the data analyzed the writer concluded that the variable associated with hemoglobim levels were body massa index.
