Abstract :
The purposes of the study were (1) To determine the characterfstics of consumers who buy imported oranges and local oranges in the modern market of Palembang City (2) To analyze the attributes of imported and local oranges that are considered by consumers to buy imported oranges and local oranges in the modern market afPalembang City (3) To analyze cansumer perceptions of imported oranges and local oranges in the madern market of Palembang City. This research was canducted at the Diamand Supermarket Modern Market Palembang City. Data collection was carried out in November 2ñ22. The method used is accidental sampling method with the criterf?a Ofconsumer respondents of local oranges and imported oranges totaling 60 samples. The data collected in this study are secondary data and primary data. The results of this study indicate that the attributes of imported oranges considered are taste, color, and vitamin content and the attributes of local oranges considered are taste, price, color, vitamin content, and water content. The results of the analysis of consumer perceptions of local citrus fruit attributes are cheap orange prices, very sweet orange fiavor. medium orange size. yellow orange color. plenty of orange water content. and very much orange vitamin content. The results of the analysis a,[ consumer perceptions of imparted citrus fruit attributes are expensive prices, very sweet orange flavor, large orange size, orange color, very much orange water content and very much orange vitamin cantent.
