Abstract :
This research used vertikultur method for planting seaweed. Vertikultur method is method that use water column as land for planted seaweed. The aimed of this research were knowing weekly, daily and absolute growth rate of seaweed Eucheuma spinosum, influence of water quality and depth of planting against growth rate of seaweed E.spinosum. This researched has conducted on August to October 2017 in Lampung Bay waters. Data were analyzed using parametric statictical one- way anova and LSD for further testing with a level of α= 5%. The result growth of seawed which had been planted in 42 days had greatest value weekly growth rate at 0 meter (18,67 gr/week) and the smallest at 10 m (6,08 gr/week). The greatest absolute growth at 0 with (114 gr) and smallest at 10 m (36,5). The greatest daily growth at 0 m (1,84%) and smallest at 10 m (0,71%).
