Abstract :
The psychological impact of breast cancer on patients happens to significantly affect their quality of life, leading to issues such as low self-concept, low self-esteem, anxiety, and fear of death. Low self-esteem can hinder the patient?s treatment process. One potential strategy to address this problem is through the use of health education interventions. The health education media use is Monopoly named Bermain Asik Mengenal Diri (BERSINAR). The research aims to differences in self-esteem before and after the intervention of educational games named Monopoly Bermain Asik Mengenal Diri (BERSINAR). The research design uses quantitative pre-experimental with a one-group pre-post design. A sample of 26 respondents was selected using Total Sampling. The statistical analysis deployed Marginal Homogeneity with a significance level of ? = 0.05. The findings indicate a significant difference in self-esteem before and after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.000 (? ? 0.05). The increase in self-esteem among respondents can be attributed to the provision of information, positive behavioral changes prompted by the game's questions and challenges, and group discussions. In brief, the results demonstrate that the educational game Monopoly named Bermain Asik Mengenal Diri (BERSINAR) can effectively enhance self-esteem in breast cancer patients. The use of Monopoly as a medium holds promise as a strategy to minimize low self-esteem in breast cancer patients.
