Abstract :
The horseshoe crab, which has a lengthy lifespan, is sometimes referred to as Mimi or Belangkas. This kind of animal is protected in Indonesia. One method for preserving these species from extinction risk is to map the habitat of the Horseshoe crabs. For the purposes of conservation activities, this data can serve as a baseline. Using ArcGIS software, this study aimed to map the distribution and identify Belangkas species in the waterways of South Sumatra's Sembilang Banyuasin National Park. June to August of 2021 saw the completion of this study. Determining the side location using the survey fishing method. The identification revealed that there are really two distinct species of horseshoe crabs: Tachypleus gigas and Corcinoscorpius rotundicauda. With the exception of the DO parameter, water conditions are considered excellent. In this study, the Horseshoe crabs as The Alang gantang is spread by a primitive animal in the Sembilang Banyuasin National Park's waterways., Sembilang river, and Barong River areas. Most of this biota were found congregating 1-4 meters deep, on a sandy loam ground.
