Abstract :
This study aims to find out and identify Organizational Capacity Development in Handling Cases of Violence against Women in The Technical Implementation Unit of the Service for the Protection of Women and Children in South Sumatra Province. Handling cases of violence against women is an act of providing services to victims of post-case violence in order to protect their rights to be free from all forms of violence and cause for concern. The type of research applied is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach, with data collection techiques through interviews, in depth observation, and documentation. This study uses Horton?s (2003) organizational capacity development theory consisting of 5 dimensions namely human resources, physical resources, strategic leadership, programs and management process, and relationships with other parties. The results showed that of the 5 dimensions of Horton?s organizational capacity development, the UPTD PPA of the Province of South Sumatra only fulfilled 2 dimensions, namely strategic leadership and relations with other parties, while other dimensions needed to be developed so that they were maximized such as (1) human resources needed to be increased in quantity and development quality, (2) The need for financial support to realize the important infrastructure of the South Sumatra UPTD PPA, (3) Conduct formal evaluation and supervision through the Head of The South Sumatra Province Women and Child Protection Service to The South Sumatra UPTD PPA.
