Abstract :
The purposes of this research are to: (1) know the Rice farmer characteristics of technical irrigation of rice and tidal Typology. (2) calculate the productyivity and farmer income of techmicalnirrigation and tidal typology. (3) Analyze the influence of agricultural input factors on irrigated and tidal land to rice productivity. This research was conducted in technical irrigated land and tidal land of south sumatera province. The samples method used in this research was random sample method. The amount of each sample was 30 farmers of technical irrigated rice field and 30 tidal rice farmers. Data was collected from primary and secondary data. The results showed that factors affecting productivity and income technical irrigated land and tidal irrigation land have differences. This was proved by the existence of land typology, climate, and cultivation techniques of farmers in rice farming. In the technical irrigated land, the positive influences on regression coefficient results were the variable of land and fertilizer. While on the tidal land, the positive effect was the seeds and pesticides. The productivity of the farmers' agricultural irrigated land yield was lower than rice farmers on tidal land. The average productivity of technical irrigated land was 11,536 kg per hectare while tidal land produces 11,867 kg per hectare. The income earned by irrigated rice farmers was low than the tidal farmers. The average amount of income of technical irrigated land farmers was Rp. 23,258,102 per hectare per year, while the average income of tidal rice farmers was Rp. 36.418.461 per hectare per year.
