Abstract :
Soil macrofauna has a very important role in a habitat to determine the productivity of the land where they live. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity and evenness of soil macrofauna in Rubber and Palm Oil Land in the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The soil samples analyzed in the Laboratory and the soil macrofauna obtained were calculated using the Shannon-Wiener (Diversity Index) and Pielow (Evenness Index). The results of the study show that rubber and oil palm land have a high diversity and evenness in rubber and high oil palm land. Environmental conditions are the main limiting factor for the high and low diversity of soil macrofauna.
