Abstract :
The Dichloropropanol plant is planned to be established in 2023, located in the City of Cilegon, Banten Province, Indonesia. This factory covers an area of ??5 hectares with a capacity of 50,000 tons per year. The process of making Dichloropropanol is done by reacting glycerol and hydrochloric acid with the help of a catalyst of malonic acid which takes place in a stirred tank reactor type reactor at a temperature of 80oC and a pressure of 1.01 bar with the following reaction: C3H8O3 (l) + HCl (l) C3H6Cl2O (l) + 2 H2O (l)
This factory is a company in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organization system, which is led by a managing director with 160 employees.
Based on the results of an economic analysis, the Dichloropropanol plant was declared feasible to be established with the following economic analysis:
? Investment Cost = US $ 358,211,521.67
? Annual sales results = US $ 590,751,563.11
? Annual production costs = US $ 383,116,102.02
? Net profit per year = US $ 134,963,049.70
? Pay Out time = 3.18 years
? Rate of return on investment = 37.68%
? Discounted Cash Flow ?ROR = 36.86%
? Break Even Point = 37.73%
? Service Life = 11 years
