Abstract :
The design of FTTx network on the Faculty of Engineering Sriwijaya University Palembang campus is done by creating a network scheme and Line Division. After the scheme design and line division of the part will be simulated with the optical system application then calculated Power Link Budget, Rise Time Budget and Bit Error Rate (BER). By calculating the value of fiber optic cable attenuation G 652.D which can affect the weakening of power that occurs, the results obtained at the Faculty of Engineering Department of -10.4809 dB with simulation results -8.894 dB, Bukit Asam Technical Building of -10.489 dB with the results simulation -8.902 dB, Chemical Engineering Building of -10.493 dB with simulation results -8.906 dB, Mechanical Engineering Building of -10.4939 dB with simulation results -8.907 dB, equal to -10,495 dB with simulation results -8.908 dB, Academic Engineering building of -10.4951 dB with simulation results -9.230 dB, building Dean of Engineering 1 of -10.512 dB with simulation results -9.248 dB, Geological Engineering building of -10.523 dB with the results of simulation -9.257 dB. Simulation and calculations on this design is based on simulation -9.257 dB. Simulations and calculation on this design is based on data collection at UPT ICT companies on the campus of Siwijaya University. And have Rise Time Budget calculation results for links ? = 1310 nm obtained for 49.498 ps where for Rise Time Budget calculation on singlemode cable parameters used are rise time transmitter, rise time receiver, and t_intra. So it can know the result of Bit Error Rate (BER) on a network which shows the value of 10-9.
