Abstract :
This study aims to improve students' understanding in elemental matter and flat building properties using Tangram media. This research is a Classroom Class Research which is carried out in three cycle with two meetings in each cycle. Each cycle includes four stages: planning, execution, observation and reflection. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 11 Indralaya, the data collecting technique used was written test as much as 5 description questions and observation sheet for the students. The result of the research shows the students' understanding in the elemental material and the waking character of the first cycle with the percentage of learning mastery of 42.85%, in cycle II has increased with the percentage of learning mastery of 64.28% and in cycle III also increased with the percentage of learning mastery students reached 89.28%. Based on the data, it can be concluded that by using Tangram media can improve students' understanding in elemental materu and flat building properties in class III SD Negeri 11 Indralaya.
