Abstract :
This research is a development research that aims to produce and test the effectiveness of the product. The research subjects of the 2015 Mechanical Engineering Education students and research locations in the Sriwijaya University Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program 2018 academic year. The object of research is in the form of Instructions for Kinematics and Dynamics. This study uses a rowntree model consisting of the planning, development and evaluation stages. The evaluation phase uses formative evaluation (Tessmer) which consists of expert review, one to one, small group and field test. Data collection techniques used in the evaluation phase are in the form of questionnaires. An expert review is conducted to determine the validity of the product while one to one, small group and field test to find out the practicality of the product. Interview were conducted to look for problems or obstacles in Kinematics and Dynamics courses. The results of the expert review stage were declared valid, from the material aspects the percentage score was 73% while the media aspect had a score of 77%. The results of the one to one, small group and field tests were stated to be practical. In the one to one stage the percentage score is 84%, 83% small group and 88% field test. Overall Practical Guidelines are declared valid and practical to be used in Kinematics and Dynamics courses.
